Coral Gables, Fla. - October 20, 2008 - Stiefel Laboratories' wholly owned subsidiary, Glades Pharmaceuticals, announced today the promotion of Bob Cunard to president of the company. Previously Cunard served as chief operating officer. Glades specializes in the sales and marketing of generic pharmaceutical products, with a unique focus on dermatological and specialty pharmaceuticals.

As president, Cunard will be responsible for all company activities including daily operations, strategy and business development activities related to the organization's commercial initiatives.

Cunard joined Glades in May 2006 as senior vice president of Commercial Operations, with responsibility for all sales and marketing activities. He also has lifecycle management responsibilities for Stiefel, where he collaborates with the Stiefel U.S. Commercial Team to evaluate and implement product lifecycle management strategy.

A 17-year veteran committed to the generic pharmaceutical industry, Cunard has considerable experience in wholesaling, retailing and manufacturing of generic drugs. Before coming to Glades, he spent seven years with Mylan Pharmaceuticals in various management capacities, with the last position held as senior vice president of Marketing and Strategic Development. In these positions Cunard worked closely with the sales group in achieving revenue goals through targeted customer programs. He also held pharmaceutical purchasing positions with Rite Aid and Value Drug Company.

Cunard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in Duluth with his wife Melissa and two children, Ryder (7) and Maura (4).
